Hi, my name is Kyle Zook, and I’ve put together this site to try to showcase the many projects and assignments I’ve taken on over the years. I’ve had the opportunity to acquire a great deal of proficiency in a diverse range of subjects such as writing, marketing, design, and LAMP stack back-end work.
This site gives me a unique opportunity to try to help people with the skills I’ve learned, and that’s what I hope to achieve with this site. I’ve already had some success building a number of sites for various clients and would love to meet some new folks who want to start a new business and/or need some online help. Below you’ll find some stuff I’ve worked on in the past and a collection of articles I’ve written.
I was able to get an early start working on websites in the 1990’s when I was tapped to work on the Gannett-owned property Tennessean.com. Though the technology we employed (lots of PERL) has changed, I’ve continued to work in the online industry over the years in different capacities.
One of the ways I keep up with the industry is by voraciously reading everything I can get my hands on. It’s not atypical for me to burn through 100-125 books a year on a diverse range of topics (though I prefer to be learning something from reading so it’s usually history or tech books). I also enjoy learning languages and travelling to places where I can practice what I’ve learned. Thanks for visiting!
